Merscom announced at Casual Connect Seattle it will be launching an original hidden objects franchise, with the first title, Coyote's Tale: Fire and Water, scheduled for launch in Q3 2008. Coyote's Tale: Fire and Water is the brainchild of Matt Shetler, Merscom's Producer for the Blood Ties project, and is being developed by GO! Games, the Siberian developer who also developed Blood Ties.

SEGA of America, Inc. and SEGA Europe Ltd. today announced that Phantasy Star 0 (pronounced "zero") the brand new Phantasy Star RPG adventure, will be coming to North America and Europe. Phantasy Star 0 is one of the most highly anticipated Nintendo DS titles coming out in 2009 with innovative features found only on Nintendo DS like the Visual Chat interface, addictive action-RPG gameplay, top-notch visual quality and exhilarating multiplayer modes.

Garriott took time off from gaming to live on the Russian space station, and then spent three months in quarantine thereafter. In that time, it was announced he was leaving NCsoft and gaming. During the time in quarantine, Garriott has had time to think about his next steps in the world. The interview, in part, quoted Garriott as saying: "After 25 years at Origin, the last thing I wanted to make was yet another medieval fantasy game. Now, after a very interesting break, I'm keen to get back into the fray and work on a new game. Probably medieval fantasy and probably online; there's something very powerful about getting people together."

Available for 1000 Wii points, Jungle Speed is not for the faint hearted. Players must watch carefully and react quickly. With a jungle character seated comfortably at the game table, players are each dealt a pile of cards. Play starts when the first person flips their card. Moving around the table symbols are revealed until two of the exposed cards match. Players with the matching cards must then scramble to grasp the totem in the middle of the table. The faster player then gives their cards to their unfortunate adversary. With paws flying, the first person to get rid of all their cards wins the game.

Square Enix announced Monday that it is working to curtail the selling of large amounts of FFXI Gil, the currency of Final Fantasy XI, for real-world money--a practice know as real money trading (RMT). The announcement, which was posted on both the English and Japanese PlayOnline Web sites, stated that "a number of accounts which were confirmed to have violated the user agreement by using unauthorized third-party software tools were discovered and have been permanently suspended."
